


FEED
Great Horned Owls will not be attracted to any commercial feed that are given to song birds. In order to attract these owls to your yard with feed, you will have to have a rodent problem, or create one. Leaving the grass a little bit longer in your yard, and scattering feed out for rodents to find.
FEEDERS
No current feeders are on the market that Great Horn Owls are attracted to or will use.
BIRDHOUSES
Great Horn Owls do not make their own nests but rather find old or abandoned nests to use. Nesting begins in January for the Great Horned Owl. You can attract a Great Horned Owl's to your yard by installing a coned shape nest, or wicker baskets. Attach to a tree, that is at least 12" in diameter placed 15' to 45' high. If you plan to put up more than one nest for the Great Horned Owl, make sure to space your nests 1.5 miles apart to avoid territorial denomination.
OTHER OWLS
Most owls, just like the Great Horned Owl, will not be attract with bird feeders. But there are birdhouses for other owls that are built for purchase. Click here if your interested in viewing owl bird houses.
